Hello to all

 Well, the holidays are just about over and it is time to get onto new and different projects.

This morning I started sorting through some of my treasures - time to list some new things on ebay and re-list some items that didn't sell.  

This useful little chest / apothecary can be used with any decor - It needed TLC when I found it so I repainted it in a barn red an applied a black wash over it to enhance the detail and give the painted an aged look.  The inside of the drawers were painted in a deep gold.

I will also be listing this old crate that was re-purposed by the previous owner to be a useful cupboard.
We added the shelf and hooks to the back to make it easy to hang.
This also can be used as a nice accent piece for storage in any decor.

We started doing our decorating - I prefer to put up small trees in different rooms rather than having only 1 large tree.  The tree in this picture is located in our TV room.  When I get up in the morning I immediately turn on the lights on each tree, I just love seeing the white lights twinkling in the morning and it cheers my whole day.

I found this old storage box at a local antique barn it has its original painted surface

The box is finger jointed and shows signs of age and ware

Today I decided to re list a vintage bowl but I am also including a smaller wooden bowl to make a nice grouping.

Happy Monday

Yesterday was cold and windy and we had a snowy day in Maine.  We were lucky we had a power surge but no outage.  Some people in Maine were not so lucky.  We kept warm with the wood and pellet stove. 

The snow came early and caught a lot of us by surprise.   I did stay busy getting together some of the things I will be listing today.

This is a very attractive galvanized canister I painted in a barn red with a black wash over it to highlight the dings and dents.  It is great for storing your K-cups or other wrapped goodies.  You can also use it for cat and dog treats.  Great piece for any decor.  It is vintage not old

I found this old wooden bowl and pestle separately and thought they make a great pair for a unique mortar & pestle to display in the kitchen

   I will be listing this old scale with nicks, dings and some rust.  I am also including a tin basket to complete the old time look

The basket can be displayed on or off the scale

Unique Wall Pipe Holder with 3 drawers

This unique pipe holder is hand crafted signed and dated - It was a Christmas gift to a Dad back in 1949 - it was signed by the child who made it

This unique wall box can also be used as a holder for your wooden spoons

I left the wood in the original condition, I just oiled it to bring out the wood grain

It is truly a one of a kind

I used the holes that were drilled for the pipes for the spoons

The pipe holder can be used as a shelf to display your mashers, mortar & pestles etc.

Well, the weekend is over and time to get my new listing together.  You can find me on ebay as sunnydaz8 for more information on these items.

One of the items I will be listing is a basket I owned for a while and since I have no use for it at this time, it is time to pass it on to the next generation.

 The basket is in excellent condition, with its swing handles and hinged lid

I did paint the top of the lid, but the inside of the lid is in the original wood color

The next item I will be listing is a wire dish rack that I found at the antique store yesterday.  The rack comes from the 1940's / 1950' 

It was an important part of the kitchen

   I thought you can either use it to display your wooden ware or use it for a wall display for your spoons and utensils - makes a unique wall hanging.

I used a hanging ladle and added a votive candle for an added touch
